Thursday, April 27, WNMU, 2055 State Road 602 Navajo Songs Workshop 5 to 7 pm. $10 admission to the workshop. This workshop will teach the final versions of the songs created in February, explain the process to help teachers and parents and children in their future songwriting efforts, and make available the CD and book to go with the new songs (additional charge). This session supports the objectives of the conference: Developing the Whole Child.

June 26-28 Traditional Navajo music and drama - WNMU workshop for families, teachers, and students in developing traditional Navajo stories into plays in Navajo language.

Marilyn Help Hood will lead a Navajo Song Workshop in February. Clinicians include Dollie Yazzie and Lynda Dick Teller.

Sign up with your children; bring your class; families are welcome.

Over the two evenings, participants will learn to create new songs in Navajo styles and will perform the new songs in the concert. The recording is expected to become available for use in the schools and families for language and culture development.

Friday, Feb 17, El Morro Theater Navajo Songs Concert for the public featuring clinicians and workshop participants. $5 admission for the public. 7 - 8:30 pm
