Gallup Folk Music Festival

A celebration of the roots of traditional americana in New Mexico

Coal Street Pub: Raisin Cane, The Coffee House: Desert Highlanders. Gallup. Suggested donation $5.


Friday May 19 - Music

7 pm at The Coffee House: Rusty Strings and the Flat Tones Coal Street Pub: Back Porch Band . Suggested donation $5.


Saturday May 20

10 am Contest, Gallery 213 - $5 admission. Each act in the contest will play three songs. Email your interest in competing in the contest in any acoustic category: acoustic-folkadelic-country blues-&-rockabilly-bluegrass- fiddle-conjunto-old time-western swing or new acoustic/newgrass. All genres welcome. and subcategories: GROUP, SOLO. SONGWRITING. Pay $5 for each participant to enter the contest.

Brock (18) is the NM JR state champion, (and overall State runner up) Kelsey (16) is runner up to him. They are both very experienced teachers and in high demand up here. (Don’t let their age fool you)
